A similar approach can be used as an alternative to the Dual-Spectra Tomography for economically measuring plastic parts with embedded metal. In this case, only the internal metallic components are measured with the X-ray sensor, using high energy X-rays.  The plastic component is measured with an optical or tactile sensor. Measuring the plastic at the same time would require extensive filtering and thus longer measurement times or is impossible.
