Extrusion

Profile measurement

The extrusion process is used to produce complex profiles from plastics or metallic materials such as aluminum with high precision and speed. The strand emerges from the tool (die) at speeds of up to 1 m/s. It is therefore important to provide the measuring programs for process control before production starts. These programs are usually generated directly from the 2D data set.

Werth coordinate measuring machines enable the measurement of profile cuts, dies and finished products made from extruded profiles using optical and tactile sensors.
