Optical components such as lenses, prisms and mirrors can be found in many system solutions in the medical technology, metrology, production technology, entertainment and communications industries. In order to influence the propagation of electromagnetic shafts in a specific way, the transparent surfaces need to be highly accurate, often in the nanometer range.

Highly accurate multi-sensor systems make it possible, for example, to check form errors on spherical and aspherical lenses for cell phones with the micro-probe or the mounting positions of micro-lenses for endoscopy with computed tomography.
