Computed tomography

A large number of different machine types have been offering metrology solutions for workpieces of different sizes and materials since 2005. The machines are used to determine geometrical characteristics and inspect for cracks and voids, for example. The measurement of many sizes in a relatively short time is a strength of computed tomography. Fast first article inspections and therefore fast product validations reduce process costs. Thanks to powerful software and hardware solutions, CT machines can also be used for high-throughput process monitoring.
