Another application for raster tomography is to increase spatial resolution, if the sensor does not have sufficient resolution to measure small details of larger work pieces “in the picture”.  In this case, the appropriate magnification level is selected to achieve the required resolution and the desired measurement volume is captured by raster tomography.
