The operating parameters must be precisely specified for the length measurement error as well. The parameters must also be specified and tested for the operating modes measurement “in the image” and measurement “at the image” (e.g. raster tomography). It is also interesting to evaluate the quality of the X-ray coordinate measuring machine with combined sensors in which additional sensors to the X-ray sensor are integrated.  A test procedure for this is outlined in ISO standard 10360-9. This procedure includes the use of a sphere, similar to the probing error procedure.  This sphere is measured with the sensors that are called out in the specification and then a “common” probing error is calculated from all the measurement points. This can be provided with a specification parameter by the manufacturer for various sensor combinations and must then be tested using appropriate measurements.
