Bipolar plates - Main component of fuel cells

Bipolar plates

Main component of fuel cells

Due to the low wall thickness of the bipolar plates, they must be measured without contact.
The most important geometrical characteristics are the profile shape of the stamping and bending geometry, flatness, welding offset (offset from cathode to anode) and profile shape of the outer geometry.
With tolerances of approx. 10 µm to 50 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are high.
This also applies to the measuring speed.
Despite large tolerances in flatness, the individual geometries must be measured highly accurately from both sides in the same coordinate system.
