The tool is guided over the cylindrical shank surface during turning in the two V flutes. This eliminates radial run-out errors caused by clamping and results in high reproducibility when measuring the cutting edges and the corresponding envelope contour. The latter corresponds to the effective contour of the tool during use and is measured without alignment processes in reference to the shaft. The Werth V Pro tool rotary device offers the perfect clamping technology for all tools with a cylindrical shaft.
