Flat gaskets often do not have a rigid lateral position. For example, diameters, lengths, angles and simple mold and position deviations must be measured. Due to the large tolerances, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are rather low, while the measuring time should be rather short. As gaskets are often flexible, fixing them for measurement is correspondingly difficult.
