Laser distance sensor according to the triangulation principle

Fast digitizing even of larger surfaces

With the LLP laser line sensor, a laser line (light section) is projected onto the surface of the measuring object and evaluated accordingly using a triangulation process. This non-contact measurement sensor also allows fast measurement of large workpieces with coarser tolerances. The application is therefore largely focused on housing and cover parts with free-form surfaces, which are primarily designed according to aesthetic considerations.

Functionality

The laser beam generated by a laser diode a) is expanded into a line, projected onto the workpiece b) and the reflected beam is imaged onto the matrix camera d) using imaging optics c). The measurement points on the workpiece surface are determined from its position.
