Skiving cutters usually have very complex geometries. The tooth profile on the cutting edge, pitch, relief and staircase grinding are measured. With tolerances of 20 µm to 50 µm, the requirements for measurement uncertainty are in the medium range. No special features are usually required for the measuring time.
